Brooke and Taylor’s friendship may soon be at risk.

There have been numerous instances where we’ve expressed our pleasure at Bold & Beautiful’s decision to cease depicting Brooke and Taylor merely as Ridge’s appendages.

Instead, they have been portrayed as they truly are – strong, intelligent women who have realized they don’t require him, or any man who would be foolish enough to let a mere pinecone dictate his marital decisions!

However, the newly formed friendship may soon hit a roadblock, as Brooke faces a significant quandary regarding her ex, during the week of April 10.

The Final Act Begins

If past patterns are any guide, Brooke might succumb to the temptation of reuniting with her former spouse.

Indeed, despite his unexplained departure, despite rushing to Taylor before even declaring their separation, despite his mysterious disappearance for months without informing anyone while he was assisting the FBI in apprehending Sheila.

On Tuesday, April 11, Brooke confides in Taylor, and that’s the day we fear their friendship might devolve back into rivalry. They made a pact with each other.

They pledged to maintain a platonic relationship with Ridge.

If Brooke has violated this promise – possibly mere days after Ridge’s return – chaos could ensue.

The Turbulence Following the Tranquility

Taylor would be justified if she expressed her anger towards Brooke.

How futile would their agreement have been if Brooke could just disregard it the moment Ridge mentioned the term “destiny”?

Such betrayal would be monumental, wouldn’t it?

We concede, vengeance is not characteristic of Taylor. However, wouldn’t it be intriguing to witness her joining forces with Thomas and Steffy to retaliate? Taylor and her children are affluent.

Why not persuade them to launch their own fashion brand, one that doesn’t employ the Logan sisters? Of course, Thomas wouldn’t be keen on leaving ‘Hope For the Future’.

“So we’ll take it with us,” Mom could propose, “And Hope, too.”

Steffy might hesitate to leave her father behind. But as Taylor could argue, wouldn’t it be nice to work for a company where you don’t have to encounter Brooke daily?

“And would your departure from Ridge,” she might add, “be any worse than his repeated abandonment of me, of all of us, time and again?”
