April 11 marked a bittersweet day for the beloved actor Darin Brooks, known for his scene-stealing role as Wyatt in ‘The Bold & The Beautiful.’

Brooks took to social media to share sad news with his fans and bid farewell to his latest project, the Apple TV+ series “Amber Brown,” which was unfortunately canceled after just one season.

Expressing his disappointment, Brooks said, “Aww, man, I’m so bummed and am really gonna miss these crazy kids!”

Despite the setback, he remained positive, adding, “But onward and upward! This was such an uber-talented and insanely funny group of people! Honestly, I had a blast working with you all!”

In his message of gratitude, Brooks first thanked the series creator Bonnie Hunt for giving him the opportunity.

He praised Hunt’s generosity and the love she put into every word of her writing, which was truly inspiring.

He went on to express his appreciation for EP Bob Higgins, affectionately calling him “big Bob-O” and acknowledging his daily efforts in the trenches with the cast and crew.

He also thanked Michelle Manning for her inspiring stories and history, mentioning her notable productions like “Sixteen Candles” and “The Breakfast Club” with Mr. John Hughes.

Brooks didn’t forget to acknowledge the young star of the show, Carsyn Rose, who portrayed Amber Brown.

He praised her as a “freaking rock star” and expressed his anticipation for her future endeavors.

He also had kind words for his on-screen leading lady, Sarah Drew, from ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ with whom he shared daily play and dance, calling her a joy to work with.

The actor cheered for Ashley Williams, an alum from ‘As the World Turns,’ for her hilarious antics that cracked him up every single day.

He also thanked Michael Yo for his abundant kindness both on and off the set, even teasing about crashing one of his future stand-up shows.

In his heartfelt message to fans, Brooks highly recommended watching ‘Amber Brown,’ describing it as a show with heart, love, and a fun, hilarious family comedy.

Despite the series’ unfortunate end, he expressed gratitude to his colleagues, signing off with a hopeful “until we meet again! I’ll see ya on the next one!”
